Facial Rejuvenation: Combining Treatments for a Broader Anti-Aging Plan
Facial rejuvenation is a combination approach to facial anti-aging. Instead of choosing just one treatment, you work with your dentist to build a full plan. That plan might include Botox, Juvéderm or other facial fillers, and skin-focused treatments together. It’s a good fit if you have more than one concern — think volume loss, expression lines, and skin texture. No single treatment addresses all of those on its own.
Facial rejuvenation draws from several types of treatment. The right combination depends on what you want to fix and how much time you want to spend. Your CitiDental of Woodhaven dentist reviews your goals and your dental health together. Then they recommend which combination of treatments, and in what order, makes sense for your full rejuvenation plan.

What a Rejuvenation Plan Can Address
A facial rejuvenation plan can combine laser skin treatments with injectables. Together, they address several concerns in one plan, such as:
- Sun-damaged or uneven-toned skin.
- Sagging skin that reads as tired.
- Acne scars or other textural scarring.
- Crow’s feet, nasolabial folds and other expression lines.
- Dull or rough-textured skin.
Depending on which concerns apply to you, your plan might include Botox, Juvéderm, other facial fillers, or a laser-based skin treatment. Often it’s more than one. Each outpatient procedure is done in the same Queens office. Each one typically takes 30 to 120 minutes.
What a Laser Treatment Session Involves
Before any procedure, your dentist reviews your overall health, not just your dental health. This includes current medications. Some patients need a preventive antibiotic to lower the risk of infection or cold sores. A typical laser session starts by numbing the treatment area. Then the laser is guided across the skin in passes, until it reaches the right depth.
Healing After Laser Treatment
Your skin will look and feel sunburned for a short while. That’s expected, and it fades on its own. Keep the area moist and clean. Expect some peeling as new skin appears over the next one to two weeks. Most patients return to their normal routine within two to three weeks. Daily sunscreen and oil-free makeup help protect the new skin. Use them for at least a couple of months afterward to help your results last.
Possible Risks
- Rare scarring from a laser treatment.
- Temporary redness or a burning sensation.
- An infection or cold sore, usually resolved with antibiotics.
- Temporary pigmentation changes on treated skin.
Contact CitiDental of Woodhaven if you notice any of these after a procedure. Your dentist will advise on next steps, or have you come in for a check.
Pairing Rejuvenation with Your Smile
Many patients pursue facial rejuvenation alongside dental work like a smile makeover or teeth whitening. This way, the whole face looks refreshed together, not just the teeth. Facial rejuvenation typically isn’t covered by dental insurance. So come in for a consultation to discuss which combination of treatments fits your goals and budget.
